Thinking about Bluefin Tuna fishing in North Carolina. They are big and impressive, I posted on The Hull Truth Looking for guides. The information I can find on the migration says winter fishing is the best out of North Carolina. If we got blown out there are inshore options for large bluefish, strippers, flounder, mako sharks and a host of other fish species. Mako shark is very high on my list. I have just the right spot for a replica mount in the pool room. So far I only have 2 fish mounts, a small Largemouth bass and a sailfish I caught years ago in Miami. Depending on the price I would like to get some others done.

Captain Joe Rodriguez is one of South Florida’s premier inshore fishing guides. With over 20 years of local knowledge of the surrounding waters, Capt. Joe will guide you to South Florida’s hottest spots. He will show you why Florida is called the “Sportfishing Capital of the World”.

In order to provide maximum coverage, Capt. Joe trailers his HPX-V Maverick or Gordon Ambush Glades Skiff to all areas from Miami to the Everglades backcountry, to the skinny waters of Florida bay and down deep into the heart of the Florida Keys.

Fishing year round with either fly or spinning rods, Capt. Joe targets local species including bonefish, permit, tarpon, redfish, snook and sharks.

Fishing the Florida Everglades

There is only one Everglades in the World.

One third of Everglades National Park is covered by water, creating excellent boating and fishing opportunities. Snapper, sea trout, red fish, bass, and bluegill are plentiful. Saltwater fishing includes Florida Bay, Ten Thousand Islands, and elsewhere in the park’s coastal zone. Freshwater and saltwater fishing requires a separate Florida fishing licenses.

Fishing from the shore is very limited. However, park waters provide thousands of acres of shallow water ats, channels, and mangrove keys in which to shell. Before leaving shore, think safety! Be aware of local boating information. http://www.everglades-fishing-guide.com/everglades_fishing_info.php more information on the Everglades.

Currently gathering Everglades fishing information, I am hoping when it gets cooler to make the trip down, I do not want to be carried off by mosquitos. I have heard fishing should be good for snook, redfish, big sea trout, tarpon, jewfish, snapper. This has me written all over it.

After becoming a member on Tribenwater fishing forum I saw that they did a group trip down and posted a lot of everglades fishing information http://www.tribenwater.com/forums/fishing-destinations/1027-everglades-fishing-information.html

Its a lot of work planning a dream, I am hoping my journals will provide inspiration to others who love to fish and travel.

Contacting BoldWater off Tribenwater to see if he has more information, I saw that he has been to a lot of fishing destinations and they did the websites for a lot of the charters I have been looking at.

I want to get paid to travel! Anyone want to sponsor ME!

I’m hoping that the members will offer up good suggestions. Everything I have read so far on there is very informative.

Most of us have addictions of some sort.

Mine unfortunately is expensive, I love to travel and fish. The more I work the more I need to get out and explore the world. I have so many friends with the same addiction. How to you fund a habit like this.

Every forum I read has so many stories of far of beaches and exotic fish. I wanna go.

I have decided instead of fighting the addiction another day… I will feed it.

Starting with research…
